The Philippines


The Philippine Islands Welcome to the Philippines, a group of over 1,107 islands located in the western part of the Pacific Ocean in Southeast Asia. The Philippine Islands are located in an area known as the "Pacific Ring of Fire", so the islands are prone to earthquakes and typhoons.


The Philippines has been blessed with an abundance of beauty covering over 186,000 square miles, and making the Philippines the 73rd largest independent nation. The Philippine Islands are are grouped into three main geographic areas: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with the capital city being Manila, located on the Island of Luzon.

Many of the island around the Philippines are made up of rich dense rainforest that is home to a wide variety of animals including over a 170 different birds and an abundance of sea life including over 2,400 species of fish and about 500 different types of coral, WOW! Did you know that the Philippines has the second largest coral reef system in the world? Yes it does and it is known as Apo Reef, located in Occidental Mindoro and covering over 21 square miles.

Boracay Philippines


Clearly without any doubt the most traveled to island in the Philippines, with a record 1 Million visitors coming to Boracay each year from all over the world. Why? Well aside from being a beautiful tropical island in the western Visayas region, Boracay is also known world-wide for it's beautiful 2.5 mile long white beach located on the western part of the island. Bohol Philippines


What and incredibly beautiful island Bohol is, with a very rich history filled with many historical sites to visit while you are here. Bohol is and oval shaped island that has 70 or so smaller island surrounding it. One of the top tourist attractions here is the Bohol Chocolate Hills, consisting of bout 1,200 cone shaped hills created from limestone leftover during the ice age period. The Chocolate Hills of Bohol were once submerged beneath the sea, however today they are very much above ground, providing tourist from all over the world with a wonderous site, during the summer the hills are covered in lovely green foilage, and during the winter months the green foilage on the Bohol Chocolate Hills turns brown, hence the name.

Palawan Philippines


An island province of the Philippines that still today as of 2012, has seen very little development, and is considered to be the "Last Frontier" of the Philippines. Palawan is a long narrow island with a coasline of white sandy beaches that covers about 1,200 square miles. The history of Palawan can be traced back some 22,000 years, confirmed by the finding of bone fragments of the "Tabon Man", orginating from Borneo, this area is considered the "Cradle of Philippine Civilization.


Palawan is also famous for the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and has been chosen on November 11, of 2012 as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The Palawan Underground River is a fantastic Palawan tour attraction with it's nearly 15 mile long river that runs beneath this underground cave. You will travel in groups of 4 or 6 in wooden banca boats navigated by an experienced boat man. Once inside the cave you will see awesome sites, like the dome inside one of the chambers that reaches over 984 feet above the underground river.

Cebu Philippines


Another beautiful island in the Philippines is Cebu, with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. Cebu, similiar in shape to Palawan is a long narrow island and is surrounded by 167 additional smaller islands. It was Ferdinand Magellan a Portuguese explorer who in 1521 established exploration and colonization for the Spanish.


It was during the battle of Mactan that Magellan was killed by native king, Lapu-Lapu a rival of the Rajahs of Cebu. If you take the Cebu City tour which is highly recommended, you will see the place where Magellan was killed, today there is a shrine at this location called, "Magellans Cross".


Cebu like many other island in the Philippines have beautiful white beaches, where one can enjoy a fun filled vacation, sunbathing, island hopping, all types of water sports and just about anything else one could think of.

Manila Philippines


Manila is just one of sixteen cities that makes up the national capital region (NCR). Manila is the capital city of the Philippines and is located at the eastern shore of Manila Bay. Manila tourism attracts nearly 1.5 to 2 million visitors each year for top tourist destinations like, Intramuros, the National Musuem of the Philippines, Chinatown Manila.


There are also many historical churches in Manila, and it is recommended that you contact a Manila Tour agency and take this historical tour. There are so many points of interest in Manila, far to many to name here, but a couple of the top tour attractions for Manila would be, Manila Ocean Park, Jose Rizal Park, and of course no tour is complete before visiting the top shopping spot, Mall of Asia.
